SAVANNAH, GA ( May 9, 2011) Savannah Chatham Metro Police not only has the bravest officers, we have the fastest!
The Crimestoppers Azalea 10K was a big success on Saturday with hundreds of runners from all over participating for this great cause! Included in those runners were several Savannah-Chatham Metro Police officers.
The fastest cop in Savannah, running the 10K was Officer Robert Santoro with a time of 32:53. ( Officer Santoro has won the bridge run two years in a row) Other officers that ran the race are Steve Friend, he came in 11th with a time of 41:09. Richard Roop came in 60th with a time of 50:37. Pete Delatorre came in 81st with a time of 53:03 and Heather Clendening came in 84th with a time of 53:13.
Running the 5K were Detective Josh Hunt and his wife Brooke they came in 130th & 131st , their time was 1:02:27.
