SAVANNAH (June 28) – Savannah Police’s Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating a June 27 motorcycle crash that resulted in the death of a 26-year-old Savannah man.
According to a preliminary investigation, the motorcyclist was driving a 2007 Yamaha YZFRI on Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard around 8 p.m. and collided with a turning vehicle, identified as a 2023 Kia Soul. Speed may have been a factor in this crash.
Both drivers were transported to Memorial Medical Center, where the motorcyclist died as a result of his injuries. The other driver sustained minor injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
