SAVANNAH, GA (July 26, 2018) – Savannah Police’s Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a July 25 shooting that resulted in one man dying and two others being injured.
About 9:15 p.m. officers responded E. Bolton Street and Waters Avenue for a shooting. Robert Lee, 26, was discovered deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Kavon Freeman, 25, was transported to Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A third man, 26-year-old Bernard Carter, was transported to Memorial Hospital by a private vehicle.
Officers also located a crime scene at E. 38th and Layola streets that detectives believe to be connected to the incident on E. Bolton Street.
