SAVANNAH, GA – (June 22, 2015) – The City of Savannah has proposed changes to the Animal Control Ordinance. The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Animal Control unit made recommendations at a city workshop on June 11. The revision is necessary to bring the city’s ordinance in line with some new state laws, as well as to increase public safety and welfare.
