SAVANNAH, GA (March 27, 2013): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police have identified Sidney Grant as a suspect in a double homicide last year, but continue to search for his accomplice.
Grant, 32, was found dead March 16 on Indian Street in front of Club Frozen by Downtown Precinct patrol officers responding to a shooting call at 2 a.m.
Homicide detectives were searching for Sidney Grant as a person of interest in the Sept. 1, 2012, shooting deaths of Michael Biancosino and Emily Pickels before Grant was found shot to death himself.
Detectives have renewed their request that anyone with information on the shooting deaths contact them. Additional funds contributed by friends and family members of the two victims have increased the amount available for rewards for the information to $13,225.
SCMPD Violent Crimes Unit detectives are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crimestoppers at (912) 234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637). In the body type, include “CStop2020” plus the tip. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
