SAVANNAH, GA (July 31, 2018) – A collaboration between Savannah Police Northwest Precinct officers, Pooler Police and Bloomingdale Police resulted in the apprehension of four female suspects in an attempted burglary that occurred this morning.
Shortly after midnight, officers responded to Noble House Home Furnishings on Jimmy DeLoach Parkway on reports of a burglary. Further investigation revealed that three female suspects, driving a U-Haul truck, pulled up to a ramp at the warehouse. A security guard, later identified as Alisha Davis, 44, let the suspects in and they began to collect items.
A Savannah Police officer observed the incident and additional officers were dispatched. Through a coordinated effort, Shaquond Burns, 24, Shannon Brown, 43, and Sharmonte Bouye, 24, were apprehended and each charged with burglary. Davis has been charged with party to a crime.
“The successful apprehension of these suspects is directly credited to the willingness and ability of the agencies in Chatham county to work in collaboration for a common goal,” said Assistant Chief Kerry Thomas of the Field Operations Bureau. “At the end of the day, we all are committed to the goal of making Chatham county a safer community.”
