SAVANNAH, GA. (May 1, 2017): The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Southside Precinct officers made an arrest in a burglary attempt on Saturday, Apr. 29.
At about 9:30 p.m., Metro officers responded to a prowler report in the 1000 block of Eisenhower Drive. Upon officers’ arrival, four suspects entered a vehicle and struck a police vehicle before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported.
Officers recovered the suspect vehicle on Whitfield Avenue and determined it was previously stolen.
Further investigation revealed that the suspects attempted to burglarize a store on Eisenhower Drive. Officers located and arrested one 15-year-old suspect. He was charged with burglary criminal attempt and conspiracy to commit a crime.
