SAVANNAH, GA (December 16, 2014): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police will be firing test shots in various areas in the Downtown and Central precincts this evening just after 6 p.m. to help calibrate the new ShotSpotter equipment that is being installed.
Police officers, both in uniform and in plain clothes, will be on hand in each location to reassure the public.
The public will be advised at the conclusion of the test firings via news releases and the Metro website (SCMPD.org), Facebook page (Facebook.com/scmpd) and Twitter site (@scmpd).
