SAVANNAH, GA (December 6, 2017) – The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help to find a missing man who was last seen on Dec. 1.
Peter Herzog, 60, was last seen around 10:00 a.m. in the 2200 block of Glynnwood Drive, near Skidaway Road.
Through further investigation, it was determined Herzog has medical needs that he is unable to meet without a caregiver. Based on the criteria set forth by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, a Mattie’s Call was issued. A Mattie’s Call is an emergency missing alert for a disabled or elderly adult who local law enforcement believes is in immediate danger of serious bodily injury or death.
SCMPD is urging the public to come forward with any information on the whereabouts of Herzog. “We are very concerned for Mr. Herzog’s safety, especially as the temperatures drop,” said Special Victims Unit Sergeant Tiffany Manuel. “We are asking that the public join us in our effort to find him, by calling in with any information they may have.”
Anyone with information or who believes they have seen Herzog is asked to call 911 immediately.
