SAVANNAH, GA ( April 8, 2011) Savannah-Chatham Metro Police are investigating a double homicide after two men were discovered dead at their home Thursday afternoon.
At 1:30 p.m., police received a call from a man claiming to live in the house behind the BP station on Chevis Road and Hwy 17. He told police that a man was on his porch, he didn’t know if he was sleeping or dead but he wanted police to respond. Police responded and found, Thomas Joseph Smith, 31, and David Medina, 46, deceased.
Violent crimes detectives responded as well as forensics and began processing the scene. Autopsies are scheduled for today. This is an ongoing investigation.
