SAVANNAH, GA (July 25, 2016) – Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department detectives are working with South Carolina law enforcement officials to investigate a shooting that occurred at approximately 4 a.m., July 25, on the Back River Bridge between Georgia and South Carolina.
Investigators are working to determine whether the shooting took place in Georgia or South Carolina.
The male victim was treated for a bullet graze at Memorial University Medical Center and released. Officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of West 41st Street to interview the victim and witnesses.
Detectives say the victim had left a night club in South Carolina where a fight had reportedly taken place. As the victim and two others left the club, someone in a red vehicle allegedly pulled up next to them on the bridge and fired shots into the victim’s vehicle.
