You’re invited to walk in the Freedom walk Thursday and Friday on Hunter AAF and Fort Stewart.
- During the Freedom Walk, The Garrison Commander of Hunter Army Airfield invite the citizens of Coastal Georgia and South Carolina’s Low Country to unite with him and his soldiers as they walk and also thank the first responders and members of the Armed Forces who risk their lives every day to help keep everyone safe.
- The events at Hunter Army Airfield start at 6 p.m. on September 8th and at Fort Stewart at 6 p.m. on September 9th they are open to the public. Everyone is encouraged to stand with them as they remember the tragic events of 911.
- Freedom Walks started in 2005 and are now taking place in all 50 States and in over 350 communities.
