SAVANNAH, GA (October 12, 2015): The Animal Control Division of Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department will host its Fall clinic on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. The clinic includes includes microchipping, vaccinations and nail trimming for cats and dogs.
DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations for dogs, FVRCP for cats and rabies vaccinations for both are $10 each. Nail cutting for dogs and cat also are $10 each. Microchipping with lifetime registration is available for $20. Payments in the form of cash, checks and money orders will be accepted.
Animal Control officers will be on hand to help handle the cats and dogs. All dogs brought to the clinic must be leashed or kenneled. Those prone to biting must be muzzled. Cats must be brought in carriers.
The fall clinic will take place at the animal shelter, located at 7211 Sallie Mood Drive.
The shelter also will be open at 11 a.m. for pet adoptions. All dog and cat adoption fees have been reduced to $35 until Oct. 31 in celebration of Adopt-A-Shelter Dog Month. Adoptable pets can be viewed in advance at adopt-a-pet.com.
