SAVANNAH, GA (November 17, 2010): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police are alerting drivers that automobiles parked along the parade route for the Savannah State University Homecoming Parade must be moved before 7 a.m. Saturday.
Vehicles left alongside the streets after that point will be towed to allow the parade to proceed. In addition, side streets inside the perimeter of Liberty and Gwinnet streets and East Broad to Price streets will be used for staging.
The Parade will stage on East Broad Street between Liberty and Gwinnet streets. It will proceed North on East Broad to Broughton Street, West on Broughton to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and South on MLK to Anderson where it will turn West and disband.
Those streets will be closed at 7 a.m. to allow time to prepare the route for the 9 a.m. parade.
