SAVANNAH, GA (February 29, 2012): A 44-year-old Pooler man received serious injuries today when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a pickup truck that turned in front of him.
Leon Parvel of Lake Pointe Drive in Pooler was traveling east on Robert B. Miller Road about 11:41 a.m. and the pickup driven by Robert Cressey, 48, of Statesboro was westbound whenthe pickup turned left into the employee entrance of Gulfstream in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the right side of the pickup, throwing Parvel into the west bound lanes.
Parvel was transported to Memorial University Medical Center with head and facial injuries.
The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the collision.
