SAVANNAH, GA (June 9, 2015): Northbound traffic on Interstate 95 has backed up for miles after the collision of two tractor-trailers just south of the Jimmy DeLoach Parkway interchange. Cleanup is expected to extend beyond 6 a.m.
Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police suggest drivers take alternate routes. Most traffic is being diverted at Exit 104 in Pooler but the highway is backed up further than that.
The collision about 12:45 a.m. today left no injuries but spilled cargoes of clothing, boxes and other non-hazardous cargo.
