SAVANNAH, GA. (November 21, 2013): A body found in a marsh along the Savannah River has been identified as that of a 27-year-old man missing since Monday night.
The body of Roger Kemp was located about 8 a.m. Thursday and recovered by Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Marine and Aviation officers who had been searching the area since his pickup truck was found abandoned on the Talmadge Memorial Bridge.
Downtown Precinct patrol officers had been called to investigate Kemp’s 1995 Ford Ranger pickup that had been left running with his belongings in it.
Metro violent crimes detectives continue to investigate. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crimestoppers at (912) 234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637). Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
