SAVANNAH,GA (June 5, 2012) Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police have obtained photographs of a man suspected of stealing a car from a convenience store Thursday night and are hoping the public will be able to help identify him.
The white, 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was left running with the keys in it while the owner shopped at a convenience store in the 2400 block of West Bay Street about 11 p.m. Thursday.
A man in the store looked at the owner, looked at the car, then walked out, climbed in the car and drove away.
The thief is described as a black male between 20 and 25, between 5-7 and 5-10, 160-180 pounds, with a trimmed mustache and beard. He has numerous tattoos on both arms and a large tattoo on the left side of his neck. At the time he was wearing a black T-shirt and black cargo pants.
