SAVANNAH, GA (January 8, 2015): Animal Control officers from the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department have arranged to have a rare albino raccoon they captured today transferred to a licensed wildlife center in Atlanta. Animal Control officers captured the raccoon near Ferguson Avenue and have arranged transportation by licensed individual to his new home at Atlanta Wild Animal Rescue Effort, Inc. (AWARE.) The raccoon was captured without injury to the animal or the officers.
