SAVANNAH, GA ( April 13, 2011) Savannah- Chatham Metro Police and US Marshals teamed up to apprehend an aggravated assault suspect.
Tuesday, an aggravated assault suspect was apprehended by the US Marshals, officers from the neighborhood task force and TRAP. Dwayne Robe Folston, 37, was arrested after a variety of investigative resources led officers to his location. He was arrested after a car he was believed to be in was followed from the tag office on Eisenhower Boulevard. He was visually identified when the car stopped and he got out in the Food Lion parking lot. FOLSTON was taken into custody without incident.
FOLSTON was wanted for aggravated assault from an incident that occurred March 18. FOLSTON and Jennifer Mclaughiln got into a verbal altercation inside a local bar. The altercation turned physical and both parties were asked to leave. FOLSTON saw Mclaughiln and hit her with his car. He then backed over her as she lay in the roadway.
Mclaughiln is expected to recover. FOLSTON was transported to the Chatham County Detention Center.
