Update: On Sept. 3, 2025, three suspects were arrested in connection to the Aug. 22 fatal shooting in the 4000 block of La Roche Ave. Ra’jai Zeigler, 17, has been charged with murder and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Dequan Petty, 18, has been charged with murder and criminal attempt armed robbery. Jon Petty, 20, has been charged with murder and criminal attempt armed robbery.
Savannah – The Savannah Police Department is investigating an Aug. 22 shooting in the 4000 block of La Roche Ave that left a male juvenile deceased.
Officers responded to the scene at approximately 10:10 p.m. based on reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found the victim lying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was provided initial medical treatment but ultimately succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
