SAVANNAH – SPD has arrested Jason Hazel, 27, in connection with a Nov. 3 shooting near Johnson Square that left three people with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
At 1:20 a.m. officers responded to Johnson Square on reports of gunfire and discovered Hazel injured at the scene. He was provided with aid and transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center. Shortly afterwards two adult males arrived at Memorial Hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. It was determined they were connected to the incident.
Hazel has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a fire during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and theft by receiving a stolen firearm.
