SPD investigates a homicide at 49th and Florance St.

SAVANNAH – Savannah Police Detectives are investigating a July 7 shooting at 49th Street and Florance Street that left one 16-year-old male deceased.  

At around 2:30 p.m. officers responded to 49th and Florance Street for a report of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers discovered a victim suffering from a serious gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Memorial Medical Center for treatment, and he later succumbed to his injuries. 

No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with info should call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020.
