Update (August 31, 2021): Further investigation into the May 13, 2020 homicide of Vincent Smalls, Jr., 28, resulted in a second suspect being identified. Today, Kevin Wilson, 31, was indicted by a grand jury and charged with felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

He is currently in custody in Effingham County on unrelated charges. Labrea Adger was charged in this case on June 22, 2020.

UPDATE (June 23, 2020): On June 22, detectives arrests Labrea Adger, 19, on charges of murder and robbery.

SAVANNAH, GA (May 13, 2020) – Savannah Police Violent Crimes detectives are investigating an early morning shooting, which resulted in a fatality.

Around 1:10 a.m., officers responded to the 2300 block of Pinetree Road on a report of a shooting. Once on scene, officers located Vincent Smalls, Jr., 28, with a life-threatening gunshot wound, which he succumbed to. At this time, detectives do not believe this is a random shooting. This homicide investigation is ongoing.
