SAVANNAH, GA. (January 13, 2014): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police are looking for a second suspect in the shooting of a Savannah woman during a drug transaction at her residence Sunday afternoon.
JoAnn Starr, 48, of the 100 block of Forest Ridge Drive was transported to Memorial University Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries after the 4:35 p.m. shooting.
The investigation revealed that she had become involved in an altercation with the suspects who demanded money when she was shot in the chin. Police found drugs and cash in the house off Middleground Road.
Shawn Clinton Wallace, 21, of the 2400 block of East 4oth Street, was apprehended after a foot chase with a Southside Precinct officer. He has been charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession/delivery of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
A second suspect still is being sought. He was described as a black male with a light complexion wearing a dark gray or black jacket.
