SAVANNAH, GA. (February 28, 2014): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police have arrested the victim of a Jan. 12 home invasion on drug charges as they continue to look for a second suspect in the robbery in which she was shot.
Jo Ann Starr, 48, of the 100 block of Forest Ridge Drive, was charged Thursday with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug related objects.
She had been hospitalized with serious but non-life threatening injuries after the 4:35 p.m. shooting at her house. Detectives determined that she had become involved in an altercation with the suspects who demanded money when she was shot in the chin. Police found drugs and cash in the house off Middleground Road.
Shawn Clinton Wallace, 21, of the 2400 block of East 40th Street, was apprehended after a foot chase with a Southside Precinct officer after the shooting. He was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession/delivery of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Robbery Unit detectives continue to seek a second suspect. He was described as a black male with a light complexion wearing a dark gray or black jacket.
