Andre Daise remains at large. Daise is a black male who stands about 5-8 and weighs roughly 145 pounds. Daise is known to frequent the 600 block of East 39th Street and parts of St. Helena Island, South Carolina.

SAVANNAH, GA (January 7, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives have identified two persons of interest in connection to a shooting near Reynolds and East 40th street that claimed the life of Randy Hooks, 53, in December.
Andre Daise, 32, and Yashua Mincey, 21, both of Savannah, are wanted for questioning. Both are known to frequent the 600 block of East 39th Street. Daise also has ties to St. Helena Island, South Carolina.
Both subjects are black males. Daise is about 5-8 and weighs 145 pounds. Mincey is roughly 6-0 and weighs about 170 pounds.
Just before 8 p.m. on Dec. 25, Metro responded to a ShotSpotter alert at Reynolds and East 40th streets. Once on-scene, Metro officers found Hooks deceased in a pick-up truck. Preliminary investigation also showed that the pick-up truck collided with two vehicles and a tree before stopping on East 40th and East Broad streets.
Events leading up to this shooting remain under investigation.
