SAVANNAH, GA. (April 14, 2016): With assistance from the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERTF), Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives have charged Tyrell Smith, 25, and Arheem Deloach, 20, with the 2015 murder of Rashad Biggins, 21.
On April 14, warrants were served to Deloach at the Chatham County Detention Center, where he was serving time on an unrelated murder charge. Smith was arrested without incident at his place of employment.
On the April 25, 2015, Biggins was found lying on the sidewalk on MLK Boulevard at Henry Street about 9:41 p.m. He was transported to Memorial University Medical Center, where he died shortly afterward.
Deloach is charged with four counts of possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, two counts of aggravated assault, armed robbery, felony murder, malice murder and conspiracy to commit a crime.
Smith is charged with conspiracy to commit a crime. He also is charged with party to the crimes of malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault.
