SAVANNAH, GA (January 14, 2020) – Savannah Police Southside Precinct detectives are requesting the community’s assistance identifying two shoplifting suspects, who pepper sprayed a retail loss prevention officer on December 29.

At around 4 p.m., two women are seen on surveillance footage entering the TJ Maxx on the 7400 block of Abercorn Street. Footage shows the women walking through the store and at one point, concealing an item. The suspects attempted to leave the store without purchasing the item, but were stopped by a loss prevention officer. One suspect pepper sprayed the officer in an attempt to flee the scene. Witnesses attested to seeing the suspects leave the scene in a gray Honda Accord.

One suspect is described as a black female with a large build, who wore a pink hat, a blue long-sleeve shirt and blue leggings during the incident. The second suspect is described as a black female with an average build, long wavy hair and who wore a pink sweater, light blue jeans and Jordan sneakers during the incident.
