SAVANNAH, GA (February 5, 2020) – Savannah Police, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) and the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office, arrested a suspect in a shooting that occurred on January 12.

At around 2:30 p.m., officers responded to the 800 block of W. 52nd Street in regards to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located Darian Clark, Jr., 19, with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the hospital for treatment. On Friday, January 31, Clark succumbed to his injuries.

Throughout the course of the investigation, detectives identified Ahmad Moore, 18, as the suspect in this case. On February 4, Moore was apprehended by SERFTF in Guyton, Georgia. He was charged with murder and transported to the Chatham County Detention Center without incident.
