SAVANNAH, GA (June 27, 2018) – Savannah Police’s Southside Precinct is seeking information on an auto theft that occurred earlier this month at an auto repair shop on Mall Boulevard.
Officers responded to Rincon Transmission, 606 Mall Blvd., about 4:30 p.m. June 11 for reports that a vehicle being repaired had been stolen. Employees stated that the tan 2003 Chevrolet Impala had been in the lot with the keys in the ignition but was now missing.
The damaged vehicle was recovered four days later on Crane Street.
Detectives have a suspect captured on the auto shop’s surveillance footage and need the public’s assistance identifying him. He is described as a black male, who is approximately 20 years old with a short afro style haircut.
