SAVANNAH, GA (September 12, 2020) – Savannah Police made a quick arrest in an attempted armed robbery of a restaurant that resulted in the fatal shooting of one of the suspects by an employee.
At around 9:40 p.m. September 11, officers responded to the Donatos Pizza on the 5400 block of Waters Avenue on a report of an attempted armed robbery and shots fired. A preliminary investigation revealed that a suspect, later identified as Joseph Osborne, 20, entered the store and brandished a firearm. He fired shots at the employees prompting one of the employees to return fire, striking Osborne. None of the employees were injured.
When officers arrived, Osborne was located and transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Further investigation revealed that Andreall Taylor, 21, was involved in the incident. She was arrested and charged with party to the crime of murder and armed robbery.
