SAVANNAH, GA (August 28, 2018) – The Savannah Police Department Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating a crash that injured two pedestrians this morning.
At approximately 8 a.m., Derrick Hills, 52, driving a Chevrolet truck was traveling east on W. Victory Drive, approaching Bull Street. At the same time, Ronald Pozdal, 64, and Gerald Samuels, 25, were walking north on Bull Street, attempting to cross W. Victory Drive at a cross walk. Hills failed to stop for the red light at W. Victory Drive and struck both pedestrians. Pozdal was transported with serious injuries, and Samuels was transported with minor injuries.
The Traffic Investigation Unit continues to investigate this crash.
