TIU Investigates Fatal Crash on Interstate 16

SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department’s Traffic Investigative Unit (TIU) is investigating a June 20 crash on Interstate 16 that resulted in two fatalities.

A preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 3:40 a.m., 22-year-old Naveeshia Moore was driving westbound on Interstate 16 in the eastbound lane of travel. At the same time, 41-year-old Michael Fripp was driving in the center lane of eastbound Interstate 16. Moore struck Fripp’s vehicle near mile marker 163; both motorists were confirmed to be deceased on-scene.

This collision continues to be investigated by TIU.
