UPDATE: The adult female suspect has been identified and is no longer being sought.

SAVANNAH, GA (December 30, 2020) – Savannah Police Department is seeking to identify two suspects seen using a woman’s debit cards that were stolen while she suffered a medical emergency.

According to an investigation, the victim answered her door at 1 a.m. Nov. 1 and found a woman saying she was stranded and needed gas money. During the interaction, the victim suffered a medical emergency and passed out. After she regained consciousness, she found that her wallet and purse were missing and that one of her cards had been used for around $900 worth of purchases.

Two suspects – one in a purple sweat suit and one in gray sweat pants — were captured on surveillance footage using the stolen card. They were traveling in a small silver sedan and are possibly staying at the Alamo Motel on Bay Street.
