UPDATE 2: SAVANNAH, GA (May 18, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes investigators are attempting to identify a man in the vicinity of a May 13 shooting at a hotel on the 4000 block of Ogeechee Road, that claimed the life of Dominique Larry, 29, of Savannah.
Anyone with information on this case should contact the SCMPD tip line. The tip line is open directly to investigators by dialing (912) 525-3124. UPDATE: Jarvis Whitehead, 24, was arrested at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday and now faces murder charges in a May 13 shooting on Ogeechee Road that resulted in the death of Dominique Larry, 29, this afternoon. Whitehead was arrested during a warrant service at a Hutchinson Island ferry dock. He also is charged with possession of firearm by convicted felon and possession of a firearm during commission of a crime.

SAVANNAH, GA (May 14, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes investigators are searching for the suspect in a Friday night shooting at a hotel on the 4000 block of Ogeechee Road, that injured Dominique Larry, 29, of Savannah.
At about 9:15 p.m. on May 13, Metro responded to the scene finding Larry suffering from a gunshot wound. Larry was transported by ambulance to Memorial University Medical Center for treatment.
Investigators ask the public’s help in locating Jarvis Whitehead, 24, of Savannah, who is suspected in this shooting. Whitehead stands about 5-6 and weighs roughly 150 pounds.
Circumstances surrounding this shooting remain under investigation.
