SAVANNAH, GA (February 26, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Robbery Unit has obtained surveillance footage from the Feb. 22 robbery in the 100 block of River Street and seeks to identify the suspect.
Surveillance footage shows the victims outside a maître d station on River Street when the suspect walks past them and turns back around. When the suspect approaches the victims, he quickly snatches the male victim’s wallet, causing the two to fall. A quick tussle ensues but the suspect is able to flee east on Factor’s Walk.
The suspect is described as a black male with his hair styled in short twists. He is approximately 5 feet 8 inches and wore a black t-shirt and black and white checkered pants during the incident.
