SAVANNAH – At 8:45 p.m. on Oct. 1, SPD officers and SFD crews responded to the 3000 block of Blossom Drive based on reports of deceased persons inside a residence. Upon arrival police discovered the bodies of two adults and one juvenile.
The Savannah Police Department conducted an initial investigation with the assistance of Savannah Fire. Investigators found a running generator located inside of the residence and high levels of carbon monoxide in the air. The decedents showed no signs of trauma, and foul play is not suspected.
Investigators believe the three deaths were the result of carbon monoxide poisoning due to the indoor use of a generator. The Chatham County Coroner’s Office will make a determination on the official cause of death.
