September 23, 2019 UPDATE: Due to a CrimeStoppers tip, Terrell Walker was arrested Friday, September 20. Walker has been charged with theft by taking (felony) and was also arrested on a probation violation warrant. Detectives would like to thank the community for its assistance with this case.


SAVANNAH, GA (September 18, 2019) – Savannah Police Southside Precinct detectives are requesting the community’s assistance locating a suspect who stole items from a jewelry store.

On August 17 around 7:40 p.m., the suspect, later identified as Terrell Walker, 24, entered the Crescent Jewelers inside the Oglethorpe Mall on the 7800 block of Abercorn Street. Walker initially browsed the store but soon after pulled out a hammer, smashed one of the cases and retrieved various items. Walker then fled the store and was seen entering a white Volkswagen sedan.

Walker is a black male, standing 5-foot-8 and weighing around 140 pounds. He is known to frequent the area of the 10600 block of Abercorn Street.
