SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department has arrested Shaheem Coleman, 19, in connection with a shooting in the 600 block of W. Gwinnett St. that left an adult male deceased. He was taken into custody on Jan. 8. This is the second arrest regarding this incident, with SPD arresting 36-year-old John Coleman on Dec. 31.
Officers responded to a shooting on Dec. 28 at approximately 6:18 p.m. Upon arrival, the adult male victim was found outside a residence, suffering from gunshot wounds. Life-saving measures were immediately attempted, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
Shaheem and John Coleman have both been charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
