SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department has arrested Joshua Britt, 29, in connection with March 20 reckless conduct at the 100 block of W. Congress St. which resulted in non-life-threatening injury to a female adult.
Officers arrived at the scene at around 1:20 a.m. based on reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, the victim was discovered, and Britt was observed fleeing from the area. Britt was apprehended and a firearm was located under a vehicle. The victim was transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Investigation revealed that Britt had fired a gun at the ground while walking with the victim, creating a ricochet that resulted in an accidental minor wound to the victim’s ankle.
Joshua Britt, 29, was arrested and charged with reckless conduct and discharging a firearm within 50 yards of a public highway.
