SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department has arrested Nathaniel Leonard Lewis, 21, and charged him with murder in connection with a fatal shooting near Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and W. 35th St.
On March 8 at around 4:40 a.m. police arrived on the scene based on a ShotSpotter report. Upon officers’ arrival, they located an adult male. He was unresponsive on the ground in front of a residence suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was provided medical treatment and transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center where he succumbed to his wounds.
