SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department arrested Nazareth Thacker, 19, in connection with a June 4 fatal shooting in the 700 block of Dixon Street. He has been charged with voluntary manslaughter.
Officers responded to the scene at around 11:35 p.m. based on reports of a shooting. Police quickly discovered the unresponsive victim. He was given first aid and transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. Thacker was taken into custody on the morning of June 5.
