Savannah – The Savannah Police Department has arrested Malik Lawson, 20, in connection with a July 27 shooting in the 1300 block of Eisenhower Dr. that left one adult male with significant injuries.
Officers were dispatched to the scene at 3:30 p.m. and discovered the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. He was provided with medical aid and transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center for further treatment.
Investigators obtained a description of the suspect from witnesses at the scene. With that information officers were able to quickly find and place Lawson into custody. He was questioned by officers and transported to Chatham County Detention Center where he was booked on charges of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and theft of property.
