SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department has arrested 17-year-old Bryson Love in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on May 6, 2026 in the 1800 block of East 51st St. He was taken into custody on July 7.
On May 6, Eastside Precinct officers responded at approximately 1:36 p.m. to a reported shooting in the area. Upon their arrival they found the adult male victim of an armed robbery and aggravated assault. After initial investigation, warrants for Bryson Love were received on May 8.
Through the work of SPD’s Special Investigation Unit (SIU) and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Unit, Love was arrested on July 7 and transported to the Chatham County Detention Center. He was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, armed robbery, false imprisonment, possession of a handgun by a person under the age of 18 years, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
