SAVANNAH – Savannah Police Department detectives have arrested five suspects in connection with a July 25th shooting in the 1400 block of Fellwood Drive that left two adult males and one adult female injured.
On July 31, 17-year-old Ja’Quan Cooper, 17-year-old Kaleb Detty, 18-year-old Jamari Fields and 19-year-old Keonte Williams were all arrested in connection with this incident.
On August 1, 18-year-old Johann Arena-Vasquez was also arrested in connection with this incident
Officers from the Northwest Precinct initially responded to the 1400 block of Fellwood Drive at around 10:30 p.m. on July 25th based on a ShotSpotter report. Upon arrival, investigators located two victims, both shot in the leg. Officers immediately rendered emergency medical aid until EMS personnel arrived and assumed patient care. A third victim had already been transported by private vehicle to Memorial Health University Medical Center, where he received treatment for wounds to his leg, arm, and hip. An occupied vehicle and residence also sustained ballistic damage during the incident.
Arena-Vasquez, Cooper, Detty, Fields and Williams have each been charged with three counts of Aggravated Assault.

Gunther stated, “This outcome is the direct result of relentless work by our investigators and officers, who brought thorough dedication and collaborative expertise to hold those responsible accountable. We are also deeply grateful to the community for their support and partnership in keeping our city safe. The Savannah Police Department remains resolute in protecting everyone in our neighborhoods, and violent acts like this will not be tolerated in our city – period.”
