Savannah – The Savannah Police Department is investigating a Sept. 2 shooting that took place in the 3100 block of Helen St. and resulted in non-life-threatening injury to a juvenile.
Officers responded to a report of shots heard at Martha St. and Sunset Blvd. at approximately 2:50 p.m. After an initial search of the surrounding area, they found that an occupied residence in the 3100 block of Helen St. had sustained ballistic damage. No one inside the residence was reported injured.
SPD was informed that a male juvenile had arrived at Memorial Health University Medical Center with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Further investigation resulted in the juvenile being connected with the incident at Helen St.
