Update: The victim in this case, 15, was pronounced dead July 20 at Memorial Health University Center, changing the case to a homicide. On the same day the Savannah Police Department arrested Anthony Geiger, 18, and charged him with one case of aggravated assault. A murder charge is expected in the case.
SAVANNAH (July 18) –Savannah Police detectives are investigating a July 17 shooting at an apartment complex in the 200 block of West Montgomery Cross Road that resulted in the serious injury of one person.
At 10:47 p.m. SPD officers responded to the scene and discovered the injured person. Emergency Medical Services stabilized the victim who was then transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center for treatment. The victim remains in critical condition.
Detectives continue to investigate the incident. No arrests have currently been made in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020.
