Update: SPD has obtained arrest warrants for 20-year-old Keon Sanders for the fatal shooting in the 2000 block of N. Fernwood Drive. If anyone knows his whereabouts, please call police, do not approach him, he is considered armed and dangerous.
SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department is investigating an April 7 fatal shooting in the 2000 block of N. Fernwood Dr. that left one adult male deceased.
Officers responded to the scene at around 3:10 p.m. based on reports of gunshots. Once on the scene, police discovered the unresponsive victim in front of a residence. The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing. SPD has identified a person of interest. No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020, or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.
