SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department is investigating a March 7 fatal shooting in the 1300 block of E. 56th St. that left one deceased and another wounded.
At around 10:45 p.m. police responded to the scene based on a ShotSpotter report. Once officers arrived, they discovered an adult male unresponsive and another with a wound to his leg. The unresponsive male succumbed to his injuries on the scene. The other adult was transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center for treatment.
The investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020, or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.
